L’Oréal Professionnel is the international leader in the market for hair products. Our mission is to offer support and solutions to hair dressers all over the world. Our solutions are tested and approved by the most prestigious figures in the industry and enable us to offer the highest standards in terms of quality, innovation, performance, comfort, safety and durability. We make every possible effort to stand as the reference brand in this market. As a result, we need to ensure that our teams on the field are always at their very best in terms of technical knowledge. Our sales reps must be in a position to exchange with any hair dresser, including those who do not carry our brand. They must be capable of proving to them that the products they are using are not better than ours and that what they really need are L’Oréal Professionnel products, by giving the relevant arguments. Our representatives must have a thorough and in-depth knowledge of their subject in order to answer the different questions and arguments put to them by their clients and prospects.

What training plan did you implement?
We were aware that our existing training programme was not optimal and we were looking to change the way we worked. We wanted our teams in the field to be better prepared by perfecting their knowledge in hair colouring in particular. Digital has always been part of our development, so it seemed natural to turn to a training method that integrated e-learning. With the help of Woonoz teams we rolled out our new training programme – Personal Hair Trainer – in 36 countries and 16 languages, with a clear ambition: assess, train, validate. Indeed, the idea was to test our teams in 3 stages: an initial assessment to determine the participants’ initial level before they underwent training, a second assessment immediately after and another test 3 months after completing the programme to ensure that the key points had been correctly and durably memorised.
With the help of Woonoz teams we rolled out our new training programme – Personal Hair Trainer – in 36 countries and 16 languages, with clear objectives: assess, train, validate.

What about the results?
The figures speak for themselves! Our teams from all countries obtained a catastrophic score of 3.5/20 in the initial assessment test. After three months training using Woonoz Memory Anchoring®, engine this score soared to reach an impressive 18.5/20. Three months later, we retested our teams. Amazingly, they still achieved an excellent score of 17/20. Memory Anchoring® technology fully held its promise: the key points of the training were effectively and durably memorized. So, a mere 4 hours of practice was enough for teams to not only achieve but also maintain an excellent level of expertise. Our sales reps really appreciated this new training programme. They found it to be quite pleasant, in particular because the training sessions are very short and highly personalized.
